The art you see here...
Wasn't made quickly.

Back in 2007 when I was much younger, I was taught to make these images you're about to see, by an amazing and patient man named Rick, who went by the handle "Boss019" on DeviantArt.
The ancient rendering program he showed me would take sometimes literal WEEKS to render the artworks he initially helped me to realize on my computer with a 512mb video card! Hours and hours I would work away with only a tiny preview window to see what I was even crafting with various shapes and materials. The real magic he told me, was in working with the sky settings and playing with the colors to achieve what I wanted. All with a preview the size of a literal quarter on my old CRT monitor!!
Millions of rendering options 12 year old me googled to even understand finally setup, I would click the blue "render orb" button and hope for the best... and PRAY the power didn't go out when rendering or all was lost! This happened several times over the years when I started forcing various anemic laptops to craft for me, sometimes leaving the state it was in entirely for work when I graduated and went to work on the pipeline in North Dakota.
When a piece was done I would excitedly analyze it to see if I needed to change the angle of the render camera to "make it feel just right" often doing this several times until the right angle emerged and the piece was done!
My style has changed over the years but I'll never forget the core of my career, making old computers do amazing things as a young boy.

Below you will find a record of my work in this style over the years, a dedication to the memory of my teacher, Rick. AKA, Boss019.
May his memory live on forever.
